Ron passed away peacefully at the West Nipissing General Hospital in Sturgeon Falls on Friday April 13, 2018 at the age of 70 years. He was the beloved husband of 46 years to Mildred Colquhoun (nee Martinsen). Dear father of Wade and Amber (Todd Dubreuil). Ron was a loving Popa to Keenan Rivet and Harper Dubreuil. Also survived by his brother Donald (Marion) Colquhoun nieces and nephews (Bonnie & Steve Joys, Jody & Russ McBeath and Jon Colquhoun & John White). Sister Alice (deceased) & (Harold) Fraser niece and nephews (Cherrie & Bud Penasse and Clifford Fraser). Survived also by his step brother in law Gerry (Dianne) Gagnon nieces and nephews : Dean & Kristin Gagnon, Kevin & Nicky Gagnon and Scott & Jennifer Gagnon. Predeceased by his brother in law Henry Martinsen. A heartfelt thank you to the staff of the West Nipissing General Hospital and Paramed especially Gisele McMurray N.P-palliative and Lynn Lawson of North East local health integration network, and caring nurses and PSW’s for the exceptional care given to Ron. A visitation will be held at Hillside Funeral Services, 362 Airport Rd, on Saturday April 21st from 10am until 11 am. A celebration of his life will follow at 11 am at the funeral home.
