October 20th 1992 – September 13th 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of our beloved Christopher, at the age of 31 on Friday, September 13, 2024.

Adored son of Fernando and Lise (nee Bentley), older brother to Nicholas (Abby Crown) and Matthew (Gwennan DeRudder). Proud uncle and God-Father to his nephew Hudson.

Christopher leaves behind his many aunts and uncles; Marc and Jane Bentley, Lorraine Bentley, Peter and Debbey Bentley, Paul Bentley, Sue Bentley and Tara Hicks, Anthony and Nancy Cirullo, Angelina and Marcello Pettella, Lisa and Steve Seguin.

Christopher had a strong relationship with his many cousins; Michael, Shari and Edward Bentley, Marty Wanner (Bridgette), Melany Redman (Jim), Ashley Bentley (Scott), Bailey and Brock (Sheridan) Bentley, Kylie and Sara Cirullo, Daniela (Dan) and Michael Pettella, David and Antonio Seguin.

Cherished grandson of his Nonno, Mariano Cirullo (Vittoria).

Christopher is predeceased by his Grandparents; Gerald and Lorraine Bentley, his Nanna Maryanne Cirullo and his Uncle Bob Bentley.

Christopher was born and raised in North Bay Ontario. A graduate of St. Joseph-Scollard Hall, where he excelled in many sports, with football being his passion. He attended Cambrian College completing the powerline technician program.

Christopher resided in Winchester Ontario and spent the last 11 years working for Hydro Ottawa.

Christopher really showed us all how to live life to the fullest, travelling the world, while cherishing family at all times above all else.

Christopher was an avid outdoorsman spending most of his free time hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, hiking, snowshoeing, skiing and spending time at the place he loved most in the world, his family’s cottage on Trout Lake.

Christopher had a close-knit group of friends whom he stayed connected with throughout the years, creating many wonderful memories.

Christopher could be described as hardworking, caring, adventurous, fearless, loving, and honest. With a sense of humour that could put a smile on anyone’s face. Christopher left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Out of all of Christopher’s accomplishments, he valued his family above all else. The recent birth of his nephew Hudson brought great joy to Christopher. Hudson was the light of his life.

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to his Hydro Ottawa family for going above and beyond in honouring Christopher’s memory.

Christopher will be deeply missed by all who knew him and he will live on in our hearts forever. The Family will be receiving visitors at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Sunday, September 22, 2024, between the hours of 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Holy Name Church (North Bay) on Monday, September 23, 2024, at 10:30 am. If Desired, donations to ALS Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation and M.S.
