It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the death of Linda Carriere, who passed away on September 20 th, 2024, at North Bay Regional Health Centre.

Linda was born on November 28th, 1960, in Temiscaming, QC to Harold McNally (deceased) and Alice Belisle.

Linda is survived by her mother Alice Belisle, her beloved husband of 43 years, Paul Carriere, daughters Kristy (Corrie), Karen (Chris), sister Laurie McNally - Gionet (Yvon), and her seven grandchildren.

Predeceased by her sons Adam and Michael Carriere.

Linda was a stay home mom to her children Adam, Michael, Kristy and Karen, for a majority of their childhood and showed them endless love and devotion. She loved her kids fiercely and devoted all her time to showing her family just how much love she had for them.

Linda’s life was filled with tremendous joy, but it didn’t come without heartache. After the birth of their first son Adam in 1980, they welcomed their second son Michael in 1983, who was born with multiple health ailments. When doctors warned Linda and Paul, that Michael wouldn’t live beyond two years of age, due to multiple health conditions, Michael went on to defy the odds and graced his family with his presence up until his 16 th birthday. Sadly, Michael passed away in December of 1999, leaving a tremendous void.

After the devastation of losing their son Michael, many moments of joy and happiness eventually followed and Linda, Paul and their children celebrated the many milestones that would follow, such as graduations, weddings, and the births of their many grandchildren.

After celebrating the New Year in 2015, Linda, Paul and their family would get the devastating news of Linda’s diagnosis of lung cancer. Shock does not even begin to describe what Linda and her family were going through. In the Spring of 2015, Linda underwent surgery to have her whole right lung removed. The successful surgery allowed Linda to continue to live her life to the fullest, doing what she enjoyed most and that was spending time with her family. While still healing from her surgery, Linda and her family experienced two significant losses. On July 3 rd, 2015, Linda’s father, Harold McNally passed away at the age of 80. Sadly, less than two weeks later, their eldest son Adam, passed away after suffering a massive cardiac arrest, at the age of 34.

In the years that followed leading up to Linda’s passing, she and her family grew closer together, cherishing their time together, dedicating their time to each other to allow for an endless amount of memories.

Linda’s departure leaves an unfillable void in the lives of those who knew and loved her, yet we find comfort in the memories and everlasting love we shared with her.

Details on the celebration of life for Linda will soon follow.
