BROWN, Fay (nee Cleveland)

With family by her side, Fay Brown peacefully passed away, at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on January 6, 2024.

Fay was born in Blandford, Nova Scotia to Willam and Amy Cleveland and on June 23, 1949, became the beloved wife of the late Victor Brown. She was the caring and supportive mother to Janice Nadon, Victor Brown, Carol Brown (William), the late Peter Brown, and the late Brian Brown. Fay came from a big family, Edgar, James, Winton, Walter, John, Laurie, Audrey, Norma, Beulah, Sandra and Marie were her loving siblings. 

She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Melissa Fortin (Yves), Amy Wardell (Gary), Scott Brown, Kevin Brown, Shaylynn Brown (Richard), Michelle Ethier, the late Cindy Brown and many great-grandchildren, Austin Tonkin, Trent Colbert, Kaleigh Fortin, Cassidy Wardell, Kaylin Wardell and a great-great-grandchild, Romeo Fortin.

Her favourite past times were crossword puzzles, reading, game shows and Sunday bingo.

As per Fay’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private memorial service, with family and close friends, will be held at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 11 am. If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be gratefully acknowledged by Fay’s family.
