Peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of his family at Cassellholme on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at the age of 89 years. Jack was the beloved spouse of the late Alice (nee Mongeon) Bethune. He was the cherished brother to the late Angus Bethune, late Frank Bethune (late Carol), late Margaret Ross, (late Gord), late Fergus Bethune (late Dorothy), late Basil Bethune (Katherine), Raymond Bethune (late Pat), and Catherine Brennan (Dave). He is predeceased by his parents Joseph Bethune and Catherine (nee Hicks) Bethune. He is fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Many thanks to the staff of both the Barclay House and Cassellholme for taking such good care of our Jack. As per Jack’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial mass is planned at the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption (North Bay) on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 10:00 am.
