With broken hearts, the family of Linda Bastien Belanger, announce her passing from this earth on July 24th 2024, at the age of 75. Reunited with her husband Danny, and once again in the arms of her beloved mother Dorine and father Frank (Jiggs), Linda leaves behind a legacy she was very proud of. Mourning her passing is her son Dean and wife Lana and their children Carter, Emma (husband Nat), Hannah (boyfriend Will), Denver (fiancée Talia), Nadia and Kylie. She also spent much time with her first great-grandchild Rowe. Also missing her deeply is her daughter Tricia and husband Roger and children Chloe (husband Nick), Madison (Nolan) and Ramsey.
Linda also leaves behind brothers Frank and Cliff and sisters Marion (husband Ronnie) and Christy and nieces and nephews and many, many friends who loved her deeply.
Mom loved her family. She loved Mattawa and her life on 8th street. We will miss her cooking, her sense of humour, her hugs and her humbleness in all things.
Dean and Tricia and family would like to thank Dr. Williams and the incredible staff and volunteers at the Mattawa General Hospital (especially Nate & Wade & Norm & Gerry & Monique & Matt & Emma & Courtney & Nicky & Josee). Also, thanks to Dr. Nelson and Chris for their compassionate care of Mom in her final hours.
A funeral mass for Linda will be held at St. Anne’s Church in Mattawa on Monday July 29 at 11 am. Interment of her ashes with her husband Danny will follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Martyn Funeral Home.
