ARPIN, Gertrude

(1929-2017) - Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, in her 89th year.  Gertrude is predeceased by her caring husband Edouard Arpin and her sisters Étiennette and Micheline Lachance.  She leaves behind her beloved children Jacques (Pat), Rhéal (Louise), Gaetan (Jaycie), all from Oshawa, and Joanne (Raymond Marleau) of Sturgeon Falls, and Nicole Boileau (Jim) of Barrie.  Gertrude was the loving grandmother of fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  As per her wishes, a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.  The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Au Château Home for the Aged for their continued compassion and care towards their mother Gertrude over the years.  In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Au Château Home for the Aged.
