It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Ted Amyot, at his home in Sturgeon Falls on Friday, December 20th, 2024, at the age of 87. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he leaves behind a family who loved him deeply, with memories that will last a lifetime.
Ted was the cherished husband of the late Sylvie (nee Savard), who he has now joined in heaven for Christmas. Their love was evident to all who knew them, and though he missed her greatly since her passing in September, we take comfort in knowing they are together again. He was the loving father to Richard Amyot (Nicole), Lise Levis (late Gaston), Lynn Amyot (Mike), and the late Randy Amyot.
Ted was the proud grandfather to Shawn, Natalie, Steve, Michel, Daniel, Randy, Brayden, and the late Jason, and a great-grandfather to Cameron, Riley, Kaitlyn, Navin, Gabrielle, Kodie, Emma, Jack, and baby Levis. He treasured each moment with them, sharing stories, laughter, and the simple joys of life. He will be sadly missed by his sisters, Elaine Raymond (late Laurier), Irene Bolduc (late Roger), Yvonne Groulx, Annette Beckett (Brian), and Theresa Leifso (Morris). Predeceased by his parents, Lionel & Clara Amyot (nee Laplante), and his siblings Louis Amyot, Alice Lavigne (Arthur), Melvina Novack (late Lawrence), and Isabelle Corbeil (late Henri).
Ted was truly at home in the outdoors. He especially loved his time spent deer hunting with his son and family.
