It is with a heavy heart that we announce the unexpected passing of Sylvie at the Toronto General Hospital on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at the age of 82 years. Sylvie was the beloved wife of Ted Amyot, and the loving mother to Richard Amyot (Nicole), Lise Levis (late Gaston), Lynn Amyot (Mike) and the late Randy Amyot. She was the cherished grandmother to Shawn, Natalie, Steve, Michel, Daniel, Randy, Brayden, and the late Jason; and great-grandmother to Cameron, Riley, Kaitlyn, Navin, Gabrielle, Kodie and Emma. She was the beloved sister of Bernard Savard (Yvette), the late Arsene Savard (late Suzanne), and the late Jocelyn Amyot (late Ernest). She is pre-deceased by her parents Sylvio Savard and Rose-Aimee (nee Turcotte) Savard. The family will be receiving visitors at McGuinty Funeral Home (Sturgeon Falls) on Thursday, September 19, 2024, between the hours of 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church (Sturgeon Falls) on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 11 am. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery (Sturgeon Falls). In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Health Sciences North-Cancer Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged by her family.
