A'HEARN, Hubert Joseph

At North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site, Tuesday, July 26, 2005 in his 81st year. Hubert A'Hearn loved father of Rose Davidson (Jeff), Linda Lieder (Harry), Ruth Johnson (Jim) and Louise Hiltz (Brian). Lovingly remembered by his former wife Laura Gagnon and his 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Sadly missed by special companion Dorothy Etches and her family Bill, Murielle, Shawna and his special friend Penny, and close friends Jack and Lucille Alderson, Norm and Betty Oglestone and Jan and Dorice Van dear Rasasel. Hubert is survived and predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Predeceased by his parents Nadine and Emanuel A'Hearn. Hubert was a Korean War Veteran and Past President of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 23 for two terms and past President of Unit 58 Korean Veteran's Association of Canada for two terms and a member since 1994. He was awarded a Medal of Merit and a Certificate of Merit. Family receiving friends at the McGUINTY FUNERAL HOME, Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Canadian Legion and Korean War Veterans service will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in the McGuinty Funeral Home Chapel followed by a funeral service. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
