Living in the city of North Bay since birth, I've always seen how many are struggling to get enough to keep a house and a simple life. I have seen taxes go up regardless of the struggle of a family of low income. They are unable to pass the expenses on the other avenue so they pay the taxes and must cut something from their everyday life.
When I hear the city speaking about a road or bridge that to me affects everyone regardless of the income but when they speak of an ice rink or park it makes me angry.
We have seen what happen with Omischl Park, the clubs could not even afford the cost and they are salary above low income. So when our city speak about a new rink we must ask who is it for? I will not use it. The low income cannot afford it, their kids can go. Basically, it's for the family with high disposable income. But they need all of us to pay because they cannot afford the full cost them self. If you calculate the cost to maintain, run, expenditure and divided it to all the club who are asking for a new rink .,
Will they pay the cost ... NO. But they need us low income to help them. I say NO
If it does not include every level of financial income in our city it should not be done.
My platform is clean, keep cost down and only what is needed to maintain and run our city. We should not expand an use taxes for a recreational building when we have people who have no place to live. Let's start with getting them help to stand up and be part of this city. " The Pride of Ownership " it's been done in another country. My parents live a life of low income and I know what it feels to have no money to spend. We manage and if someone needs a pay increase I would suggest to send them to an accountant to learn to save as we do. I stand for the taxpayers who are low income. We are tired are being ignored. Elect me. I will never accept tax increases and anything that includes all of us.
My first job was in the military as administration and later school board as Audio and graphic art. My wife is a foreigner who we are just now waiting for immigration application to be approved. I learn a lot about our immigration system and my eyes were open. Two sons and one stepdaughter. You're asking for change then do it.
None of the running potential Councillor can create jobs, it's a ploy to get elected. Please be careful and not pull a >>>>>>>> TRUMP.!
You ask for change then let's do it!
