BIO

Neal McNamara is Canadian Armed Forces Veteran and a Retired Police Officer. He has a wide range of national and international experience in various roles, not only with the Canadian Armed Forces, but also as a Police Constable with the Town of Espanola and the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service (NAPS). No stranger to adversity and challenge, Neal is an advocate for veterans and is passionate in his work with injured and medically releasing military members to encourage them thru his example, motivation and mentorship that anyone can adapt and overcome adversity and work towards living life to the fullest and with purpose.

Neal enjoys spending time with his fiancée Tiffany and their dog Daisy and family, reading, swimming, painting, investing, and watching documentaries on Netflix. Neal has presented at City Hall and written numerous articles for the North Bay Nugget and Baytoday over the last two years on a variety of topics including: the city’s finances and spending, sale of North Bay Hydro, Moody’s credit reports, city council conflicts of interest, Downtown Waterfront Masterplan, Invest North Bay and Summer in the Park.

Neal believes in giving back to the community he grew up in and sharing his outside the box perspective to help others achieve their goals, to never give up, and stand up for what they believe in.
