I have been a resident of North Bay for the majority of my life. I am a Chartered Accountant and during my time here I have been a partner or owner of a number of businesses including North Bay Chrysler and Print Three.
My experience in financial matters has also included ten years in public auditing verifying the accounting records of various companies. My strength has always been in finances and most importantly I am aware of the responsibilities involved in handling other people’s money and the importance of obtaining value for money spent.
Since 2010, I have donated considerable time as an intervenor during North Bay Hydro hearings at the Ontario Energy Board regarding increases in local electricity delivery rates.
My main concerns are the ever increasing tax burden including water and hydro bills that families are facing every day. Sound financial decisions are not all that is required by they are essential in providing a framework for everything else that’s needed for North Bay citizens to succeed. I am the only candidate with these qualifications and the best candidate to challenge the financial reports that come before council. D. D.
