Today is the 24th annual Child Care Worker and Early Childhood Educator Appreciation Day.  This day is an opportunity to recognize the dedication, skills and hard work of early years and child care professionals who work with young children.

Early years professionals are specially trained to ensure children grow in confidence, develop social skills and discover a love for learning that lasts a lifetime.

The Children’s Services Department of the District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board (DNSSAB) plans and manages the early years and licensed child care system in the district. Children’s Services promotes high-quality early learning and child care services that are accessible, affordable, responsive, and inclusive.

“We know that the early years of a child’s life have a great impact on their future and that is why early years professionals are so important. They create a warm and stimulating environment for your child and entrusting our children into their care is a responsibility they take very seriously,” says DNSSAB Chair, Mark King.

A campaign was developed in collaboration with the early years and childcare sector to recognize them and the important work that they do.
