The Studio hosted their 5th annual Zumbathon for Cystic Fibrosis at Alliance French Immersion Public School on Friday night.

The event saw more than 140 people dance to raise funds and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis research.

The Zumbathon also inlcuded more than 15 local and out of town Zumba fitness instructors, along with the Regional Executive Director for Cystic Fibrosis Canada, Hillary Evans and the local Chapter President Paige Shemilt.

At the event, Mayor Al McDonald declared Sunday, May 28th Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Day in the City of North Bay.

In addition to all of the fun, sweat and memorable moments, over $12,000 was raised!

“It is through events like these that funds and awareness are generated. Perhaps one day we may all know what it’s like to live in a world without CF,” said Studio Co-Owner and CF parent, Macrina Perron.
