Yuk Yuk’s is opening a monthly comedy club in North Bay

Yuk Yuk's is coming to North Bay.

The Grande Event Centre and Yuk Yuk’s promoter Brian Band have teamed up to host monthly shows starting next month, with the first slated for Saturday, April 20. at 8 p.m.

“This is exciting news for the entertainment scene in North Bay plus all the surrounding communities” said Band. “Everyone loves to laugh and live comedy is the best way.”

Each show will feature three professional comics from Yuk Yuk’s plus up-and-coming talent from across northern Ontario. “I like to give newcomers the opportunity to perform” said Band.

Yuk Yuk’s founder Mark Breslin, says in a news release that he is "thrilled" to be growing again in northern Ontario.

“We are excited about Yuk Yuk's expansion into North Bay, a city that has always been so hospitable to us. Watch for the best comics in Canada to make audiences laugh uncontrollably.”

Venue owner John Lechlitner is also excited. “The Grande Event Centre is excited to be the monthly home in North Bay of Canada’s #1 comedy show!"

The opening show next month will feature national touring headliner Chuck Byrn, who has been nominated for Canadian Comic of the Year and appeared at Just for Laughs and on NBC’s Last Comic Standing.

A dinner menu will be available at every show and there is free parking.
