Young Frankenstein a night full of singing, dancing and laughter

Musical Theatre students from St. Joseph-Scollard Hall will be showcasing their theatrical talents live as they present Young Frankenstein the Musical this week.

“I’m so excited to be back in front of a live audience for our production!” said Addie Caciagli-Rocha, a Grade 10 student playing the role of Inga “We have worked extremely hard since September to learn the show, and we want to share our success with our school, families and the community.”

Guests will look forward to a night full of singing, dancing and laughter as the Bears Musical Theatre program perform the Mel Brooks classic Young Frankenstein the Musical.

“We are extremely proud of our student cast for the effort they have put forth this semester,".Music Director Brian Overholt added. "Young Frankenstein is quite an undertaking for any theatre group to put on. We feel our students are well prepared to entertain, so please come out and support the show!”

The story follows Dr. Frederick Frankenstein, grandson of the legendary mad scientist Dr. Victor Frankenstein, as he navigates his newfound inheritance into the family legacy. Frederick travels to Transylvania, meeting up with some familiar faces, while comedically following in the similar footsteps of his grandfather.

The production will take place this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, in the Bishop Carter Auditorium at St. Joseph-Scollard Hall. The cost is $10 and tickets will be sold on-site. The doors will open each night at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7.
