The Compassionate Committee for the Homeless in North Bay are holding a Winter Boot Campaign and will be collecting essential items and looking for sponsors for winter boots to ensure people experiencing homelessness survive the cold winter months.
"Help us fill a trunk with new thermal socks, hats, mitts, and scarves," says organizer Leah Pierce. "We will accept drop-offs on Saturday, November 23, from 10 til 2 at the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption garages across from 480 McIntyre St. West."
In addition to the NEW mitts, hats, scarves, and socks drive, you can help people experiencing homelessness by sponsoring winter boots for $50 - $100.
"We will do the shopping for you and ensure that frontline organizations are provided with the right-sized boots or shoes to support people experiencing homelessness in North Bay," says Pierce.
