Musician Jim Cuddy has captured Canadians' disappointment with its neighbours ina new song sweeping the nation.

Jim Cuddy, who has played in North Bay at various times as a solo act and with Blue Rodeo, has struck a chord with the ongoing tensions created by President Donald Trump's attack on Canada.

Cuddy has captured Canadians' disappointment with America in a new song.

"Due to our troubles with our neighbours in The States, I was inspired to write a little song. It’s called “We Used to Be the Best of Friends”.

Toronto mayor Olivia Chow will be joining Cuddy and businesswoman Arlene Dickinson at Nathan Phillips Square for the rally on Saturday. 

"Elbows Up, Canada!" is a rally to encourage nationalism amid a U.S. trade war and annexation threats. It's coming to Toronto after more than 1,500 people gathered at Parliament Hill in Ottawa last week.
