We surprise a six-year-old whose art portfolio and community donations keep growing

Our Random Act of Kindness recipient is Hallee Weber, a youngster who is passionate about giving back

Hallee Weber is a young girl with talent and heart whose drawings provide an avenue for her to support local charities.

Inspired by Hallee, a family friend nominated her for a BayToday Random Act of Kindness.

"Throughout the year she draws freehand and colours pictures with various themes," shared her nominator. "Last year, she set up an art gallery in her yard with proceeds going to The Nipissing Serenity Hospice which raised $100."

This year, she raised over $500 in remembrance of her grandfather who was a patient at the hospice.

"Giving back to the community is a very important and selfless act for a young girl," she added.

We decided to repay Hallee's thoughtful gestures and surprise her with a Random Act of Kindness, arriving at the White Water Art Gallery with gifts from our generous community partners.

This included an art supply package and gift cards from local businesses.

Hallee and her family were very surprised to receive the Random Act of Kindness.

"We're very overwhelmed with all the gifts that she received. We certainly did not expect that," said her father Dan Weber.

"As parents, we are very proud of her. She has spent a lot of time making art to sell. All she does is create artwork," said Weber.

When asked about Hallee's plans for the future her father said: "She does have other aspirations. She would like to become a police officer or an optometrist when she grows up."

Thank you to our co-sponsors, King's Framing and Art Gallery, One More Bite Bakery, Burger World Algonquin, Source for Sports North, Junior World and Creative Learning for making this Random Act of Kindness possible.
