Victims identified in double fatal traffic accident near Temagami

A transport was southbound and two passenger vehicles were northbound when the collision occurred

Highway 11 was closed in both directions from North Bay to New Liskeard after a traffic accident south of Temagami.

Temiskaming OPP has identified the two victims involved in that fatal three-vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 11 south of Temagami shortly after 6:30 p.m. on December 8.

Police say a transport was southbound and two passenger vehicles were northbound when the collision occurred.

The driver and passenger of the first vehicle died in their car and have been identified as 60-year-old David Parton of Brantford and 66-year-old Sandra Moyer of the community of Ayr, near Cambridge.

The driver and passenger of the transport, along with the driver of the second vehicle, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The OPP's Technical Traffic Collision Investigators and the Office of the Chief Coroner- Ontario Forensic Pathology Service are assisting with this investigation.
