The 19-year-old victim was shot in the abdomen.

A witness in a house nearby called police and attended to the victim. The accused fled but was caught a short distance away by police and was taken into custody. A loaded handgun was found nearby.

NBPS says the accused was also carrying a knife.

Holy Cross School is now open after being closed yesterday for the police investigation. The two involved in the incident are known to each other but have no affiliation with the school.
