Officers rushed to West Ferris Secondary shortly before 3 p.m. in response to an "unknown person" trying to gain entry to the school. Officers identified an adult male a short distance from the school and following a conversation with him, it was determined there was no malicious intent.
School Liaison Officer Krmpotic, who was one of the responding officers, explained, “This is what we practice security drills for, and thankfully everything worked out. Police are thankful for the fast action of the students and staff which kept everyone safe.”
