Tyler Mullan has been Mr. Perfect for the Queen’s Gaels this season.

More accolades are rolling in for North Bay kicker Tyler Mullan with the Queen's Gaels.

The 19-year-old North Bay native was named to the OUA All-Star football team as he continues his amazing perfect kicking season.

"It takes courage to make clutch kicks in the OUA and no one performed those duties better than Queen’s rookie Tyler Mullan," the OUA stated in a release.

Mullan had a dream debut season by not missing a single kick in nine regular-season games. He finished a perfect 17-for-17 on field goals and 32-for-32 on extra points, accounting for 83 points on the year (second in the conference).

Mullan made all four field goals and five extra points he attempted in his first ever OUA game, a 47-25 Gaels’ win over the Toronto Varsity Blues before adding four more field goals and two extra points the following week in a 26-16 victory over Ottawa. He registered double-digit points in five of the nine games he played.

Mullan was also named to the OUA All-Rookie team as well.

On top of that, Mullan was named as one of the U Sports players of the week last week when he helped propel the Gaels to the OUA final four.

The St. Joseph-Scollard Hall kicking perfection streak continued into the Gaels’ OUA quarterfinal win over Toronto on Saturday. He hit field goals from 17, 14, 37 and 25 yards out and added four converts to finish with 16 points as Queen’s downed the Varsity Blues 41-13.

Mullan and the Gaels now move on to the Yates Cup against the University of Western Mustangs in London this Saturday.

That game will be streamed on CBC Gem and OUA TV.
