A well-known hockey TV series is looking for a few good hockey players.
Shoresy, a hockey comedy that airs on Crave, and is produced in Sudbury, is looking for hockey players as they prepare to film season two of the series.
Shoresy is described as a comedy spinoff of Letterkenny, in which main character Shoresy joins the Sudbury Bulldogs, a struggling senior team in Northern Ontario, and embarks on a mission to "never lose again."
The first season premiered on May 13, 2022. A second season was announced January 17.
"We are looking for Hockey Players ages 18-35, who have their own hockey gear," says Ashley St. Jean, Casting Director for Northern Casting.
"Players must have A/AA/AAA or equivalent skill level minimum to be in the Hockey Locker room or bench scenes. However, we are looking for Junior 'A' skill level or higher to be on the ice."
St. Jean says she has already reached out to area junior teams such as the Powassan Voodoos seeking interested players.
Those interested must have availability for some shoot days between April 10–May 12 in Sudbury.
