Tourism North Bay alongside the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) are celebrating National Tourism Week from April 24-30, 2023.

They are asking the public to celebrate with them.

Tourism Week is an annual invitation for all tourism partners and individuals to come together to champion and promote Canada’s destinations, tourism businesses and employees.

“We want everyone to know that North Bay is open for business and ready to welcome travelers from all over the world," explained Tourism North Bay Executive Director, Tanya Bédard.

The National 2022 Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling was one of the first major tournaments held in North Bay since the pandemic and Tourism North Bay officials say they have seen a steady increase of activity returning to the city since this time.

“Although North Bay has already been host to a number of events in 2023, we are gearing up for a busy Summer and Fall season with new and/or annual events happening nearly every week,” said Chair of Tourism North Bay, Parth Dholakia.

Tourism North Bay challenges everyone locally to show some love on social media throughout the week by sharing their favourite North Bay landmark, attraction, venue, hotel, or other tourism business.

They encourage the use of the following hashtags: #TourismWeekCanada2023 #discovernorthbay
