Toronto police held a news conference in that city this afternoon but didn't shed much new light on the murder of a former North Bay woman Tess Richey.

The event mainly dealt with police action to protect members of the Church and Wellesley community.
Chief Mark Saunders says he is looking at ways Toronto police can better respond to missing person investigations.
There has been criticism that it isn't doing enough.
"A lot of our procedures are learned from unique circumstances that have happened. We go back to review, we analyze and then we revitalize our procedures at play," said Saunders.
The internal investigation will look at 22-year-old Richey's disappearance. She was found by her mother and a friend close to where she went missing in the Church and Wellesley area.
"The investigation will involve questions and answers and facts and give me the opportunity to have more clarity on exactly what happened and what were the circumstances," the Chief explained.
The murder of Richey is just one of three recent investigations.
Police have a suspect, an unknown man Richey was with on the night of her death.
