The kids in Mr. Rivard's Grade 5/6 Late Immersion class at White Woods Public School in Sturgeon Falls pitched in to help raise funds for the West Nipissing Santa Fund this week by selling Popcorn for the Toonies.
The class sold popcorn during recess and raised $42 for the Santa Fund and on Thursday, the teachers and students hosted a Toonies for Tummies Volleyball game to raise more funds.
The monies raised will be donated this Sunday, November 23rd during the Sturgeon Falls Telethon for West Nipissing and will be used by the local fire fighters to deliver presents and Christmas dinner fixings to over 400 needy families in the West Nipissing area.
