Three arrested, $156,000 worth of Fentanyl and cocaine seized

After an investigation, at approximately 3:30PM on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, members of the North Bay Police Service executed a search warrant on a residence in the 300-block of Mulligan Street, North Bay.

A search warrant in the Ferris area by North Bay police has resulted in the arrest of three men and the discovery of a large amount of illegal drugs.

Yesterday afternoon, officers executed a search warrant on a home in the 300-block of Mulligan Street and seized over $156,000 worth of suspected Fentanyl and cocaine.

Sebastian Roy, 42, of North Bay is charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – other drugs
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000

Shoib Abdullahi, 19, of North Bay is charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – other drugs
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Failure to comply with a sentence

Hassan Mourtchi, 22, of Burlington is charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – other drugs
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Disobeying an order of the court
  • Failure to comply with a release order

During the search, police seized:

  • Approximately 274 grams of suspected Fentanyl
  • Approximately 465 grams of suspected cocaine
  • One digital scale
  • Packaging material
  • More than $5,000 cash

All three remain in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse today.

The investigation was conducted by the North Bay Police Street Crime Unit and members of Project Drifter.

Project Drifter is a joint forces operation between the North Bay Police Service’s Street Crime Unit and the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau. Their continued partnership identifies, investigates, and takes enforcement action against individuals believed to be involved in the illegal distribution of controlled substances in the Nipissing District.
