Terry Fox Foundation launches its annual limited-edition shirt

The shirt features messages Terry and his family received both past and present, and celebrates how his story and legacy continues to inspire people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities in Canada and beyond

The Terry Fox Foundation is sharing how Terry inspires people today with the Dear Terry… campaign.

"The charity has launched its annual limited-edition shirt for this year’s Terry Fox Run, together with input from Ryan Reynolds and the Fox Family. The shirt features messages Terry and his family received both past and present and celebrates how his story and legacy continue to inspire people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities in Canada and beyond," according to a news release.

“I’ve been taking part in the Terry Fox Run since second grade and can’t think of a more enduring and lovely legacy for one person,” says Reynolds, who partnered with the Terry Fox Foundation on this year’s shirt design and #DearTerry campaign. “Terry Fox inspired millions in life and death.”

All Terry Foxers and supporters are invited to submit their #DearTerry messages for a chance to be featured in this year’s campaign, including on a custom-made commemorative #DearTerry poster designed by famed artist Mutant 101 that will be released on September 17.

Taking place in 25 countries, including Canada, Singapore, Brazil, United States, England, and Ireland, the annual Terry Fox Run unites participants in support of Terry’s dream of a world without cancer. To date, more than $850 million dollars has been raised by the Terry Fox Foundation, bringing hope and health to cancer patients and their families.

"This year the local event will again be at the Rotary Pavilion and the run will be along North Bay’s beautiful waterfront as always. Registration will start at 8:30 am with welcome remarks at 9. The course will be open until noon so you can run/walk at your own pace for either 5 KM or10," says organizer Carla Tucker.

"Our committee and our volunteers here in North Bay are always available to help support the community for this virtual run in any way and they are encouraged to reach out to us on Facebook or via email."
