Another Temiscaming area hockey player is joining the Memorial Cup champion Saint John Sea Dogs.
Justin Robinson, a goaltender who played for the Brantford 99ers was selected in the sixth round, 97th overall in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Entry Draft which took place on Monday and Tuesday.
The Kipawa product played 12 regular-season games with the 99ers U16 AAA team finishing with a stingy 1.42 goals-against average.
Robinson saved his best for the OHL Cup tournament where he finished with a pair of wins, a 1.31 goals-against average and an impressive 0.956 save percentage.
"I’m very honoured and excited to be joining the recent memorial cup champions," Robinson told BayToday.

Robinson joins Nico LaForge, another Temiscaming area product.
LaForge was selected by the Sea Dogs in the 11th round, 190 overall in the 2020 QMJHL Entry Draft by the Sea Dogs, and played 21 regular-season games with the QMJHL squad this past season.
"I’m looking forward to the new challenge as well as meeting and getting to know the entire Sea Dogs organization. I am also happy to be reunited with Nico LaForge who is from my hometown."
Both Laforge and Robinson also spent a large portion of their minor hockey development in the North Bay & District Trappers AAA Hockey Association.
