The CFB North Bay swimming pool is anticipated to be opening again to the public on January 10th, BayToday.ca has learned.
The five-lane 25-meter pool has been out of service for maintenance since September.
CFB North Bay Community Recreation Centre Coordinator Lindsay Seguin says the pool has been filled and workers are doing the final touches on the ventilation system and installation of some new windows.
Seguin believes its great news the pool will re-open for it’s normal schedule on January 10th.
Seguin says swim lessons will resume at the pool on the 10th and the CT-33 Thunderbirds Swim Team will also resume its normal practice schedule.
“Everyone is excited including the public and the military families,” she said.
“It will be great to get back into the swing of things at our pool.”
