It appears North Bay area residents will once again be able to fly right out of North Bay to a sunny destination this winter.
New flights starting in December are now available to book on the Sunwing site.
Bryan Avery, Airport Manager, at Jack Garland Airport is pleased with the return.
"I can confirm that Sunwing has confirmed that they'll be returning to provide weekly flights to Varadero, Cuba from mid-December through April," Avery told BayToday in an email.
Avery is expecting to get more details and a formal announcement by Sunwing is expected soon.

I expect that Sunwing will be making a formal regional announcement soon; potentially next week.
Sunwing flights from North Bay and Sudbury to locations in Mexico and Cuba were set to begin in January of 2022.
However, they were cancelled in late November of 2021.
BayToday reached out to Sunwing for a comment on the return but did not receive a reply by our publication deadline.
