Summer in the Park has booked popular pop group Hedley to headline three days of musical acts. Michael White and the White Evening of Led Zeppelin will fill the Sunday spot.
"We wanted to reach out to as many people as possible," chair John Strang said at a news conference this morning. "We heard last year that we didn't have anything in particular for the young people. I believe we've covered that this year ith Hedley, a Juno award winning band that were in North Bay several years ago. We're excited to have them back."
Hedley is a Canadian pop-rock group originating in Abbotsford, British Columbia that formed in 2003.
They were named after the unincorporated community of Hedley, British Columbia, a name chosen after members heard that it was for sale for $346,000.
It was previously announced that Canadian Country Superstar, Tim Hicks will be headlining Saturday July 30.

Home town star, Cory Marquardt will be performing as the warm-up act for Hicks.
"As an overall package I believe this is the best lin eup we've had in several years. It has something for everybody."
Hedley was nominated for Group of the Year at the 2016 Juno Awards. Their sixth and latest album is called Hello. "Lost in Translation" is the lead single off the album released on November 6, 2015.
The band is best known for the singles "Never Too Late", "Cha-Ching" which was performed at the closing ceremony of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, "Invincible", "Kiss You Inside Out", and "Wild Life".

Reduced rates of $29.99 have been extended until May 31. Wristband prices climb to $35 from June 1st to June 30 and then $50 from July 1st thorough festival weekend.
