North Bay Hydro is reporting some power outages as a storm rolled through the North Bay area causing flooding on area streets and even gumball size hail in some parts of the city.
"As can be expected with storms of this magnitude, we are seeing some small outages throughout different parts of the city. We ask that you be patient while we assess the situation. Stay safe everyone," North Bay Hydro stated via Twitter Monday night.
Outages were reported in the Ski Club Road, Connaught Avenue, and Norman Avenue area.
The high winds also caused some trees to come down.
Around 6:30 p.m. tonight, Environment Canada meteorologists were tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts and up to nickel size hail.
They anticipated wind gust to be as high as 90 km/h.
North Bay Hydro is aware of an outage affecting approximately 500 customers in the areas surrounding Ski Club Rd, Connaught Ave, & Norman Ave. Crews are currently assessing damage caused by the storm. The estimated restoration time is 12:00 am
