Police believe an edged weapon was used by the unknown attacker

City police are investigating an assault with a weapon that occurred early this morning and they're hoping the public can help.

Police were called to the 200 block area of First Avenue West shortly after 2 a.m., the site of a Circle K parking lot.

An adult male victim received wounds requiring medical attention and he remains under medical care with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police believe an edged weapon was used by the unknown attacker.
