The North Bay Battalion and Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) teamed up to raise $2,454 for Special Olympics Ontario during Sunday's Big Ticket Battalion game.
It was a great day, made better with a Battalion 4-3 win over the Niagara IceDogs.

Special Olympics Ontario ran a kiosk so fans could learn more about the organization.
Each Chapter offers multiple kinds of programming and opportunities for participation across the province including local community activities and sports clubs, regional and provincial athletic competitions, and fundraising events that help support programming
A number of local Special Olympics athletes were recognized during the game.
Law enforcement agencies from the North Bay Police Service, Military Police, Ontario Provincial Police, Canadian anti-Fraud Centre, Anishnabek Police, and the District Jail were in attendance to assist with the collection of donations. The annual "Bucket Pass for Special Olympics" during the second period raised $2,454 thanks to the fans.

The awareness campaign is part of the ongoing commitment by the Ontario Hockey League, the North Bay Battalion, and LETR/Special Olympics Ontario to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics Ontario.
Until Nov. 30, an online 50/50 is taking place with all funds directed to Special Olympics Ontario. The winning ticket will be drawn at the OHL office on Monday, Dec. 2, at 11 a.m. For more information click here.
