Snowfall warning in place

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning in advance of significant snowfall this evening into Thursday morning.

Total snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 cm are expected with peak snowfall rates of 2 to 4 cm per hour, resulting in poor visibility in heavy snow.

The storm is expected to taper off Thursday morning with the heaviest snow expected to fall tonight into early tomorrow morning.

Rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult and significantly impact traffic in urban areas.

A snowfall warning is in effect for:

  • North Bay - West Nipissing
  • Greater Sudbury and vicinity
  • West Nipissing - French River
  • Temiskaming Shores - Temagami
  • Powassan - Mattawa
  • South River - Burk's Falls
  • Huntsville
  • Ville Marie
  • Temagami - Temiscaming Shores
