The province’s Special Investigations Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding a death that occurred on July 29 in North Bay.
A news release from the SIU says at approximately 12:35 p.m. on July 29 North Bay Police Service officers, and Emergency Medical Services were sent to a home in the Main and Mattawa Street area of North Bay, for a man in medical distress.
They found the 35-year-old man unconscious. CPR was given by police and continued by EMS staff.
He was then rushed to the North Bay Regional hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Two investigators and two forensic investigators have been assigned to this investigation. One police officer has been designated as the subject officer and another a witness officer.
The post mortem took place yesterday. Police have not identified the man.
