The Near North District School Board and Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation District (OSSTF) #4 Teachers and Occasional Teachers announced today they have reached a tentative local collective agreement, effective to August 31, 2017.
A news release from the Board says details of the agreement will not be released until the agreement is ratified by both parties, which will take place in October.
At the provincial table, a central agreement was ratified for Teachers and Occasional Teachers between OSSTF/FEESO and the Government of Ontario / Ontario Public School Boards Association (OPSBA) on September 18, 2015.
The Near North District School Board has approximately 350 permanent and occasional secondary teachers who belong to OSSTF District #4 in the districts of Nipissing and Parry Sound.
