Adrian Foisy is frustrated.
The RV owner says he has to travel all the way to Sturgeon Falls to dispose of his sewage from his RV.
He came to council asking the city open a spot here.
“It would be nice in the spring to clean out our RV and then in the fall clean it out again because when you go camping they all have dump outs at the sites,” said Foisy during his presentation to council Tuesday night.
“Every campground has one and you empty there but this is also good for tourists coming here. They camp here but have no place to go empty, that is not a way to attract tourists.”
Foisy figures the project would be an easy fix.
“It is just a 6-inch pipe going down to the sewer,” said Foisy to Council.
“That’s all we’re asking for. It’s not a big deal. I don’t know why they're giving us such a hard time.”
Councillor Derek Shogren says he has heard this complaint before and says the cost would be as much as $40,000 to put in at a location in North Bay.
“We have dragged this on too long,” Shogren said during the presentation Tuesday.
“I know we talk about the budget with the surplus this year we probably should have had it done.”
However, Shogren says the city has looked at various locations for the pump sites and all the property owners have declined.
“They have all said no, so there are not a lot of areas around that seem to want it,” said Shogren.
