Two men, one from North Bay and another from Mississauga are under arrest for drug trafficking after a raid on Rose Ave. Wednesday.
As part of a larger investigation, North Bay Police Service’s Street Crime Unit and Emergency Response Team executed a warrant at approximately 7:55 p.m. on October 27.
Two men found in the residence at the time were arrested.
Searches by police resulted in the seizure of:
- 8 grams of suspected purple Fentanyl
- 41 grams of crystal methamphetamine
- $1,090 in cash
- drug trafficking equipment
The estimated street value of the drugs seized is approximately $7,200.
Louis William Cantin, 38 of North Bay, is charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking Fentanyl
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
Najiib Adan, 26, of Mississauga, is charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking Fentanyl
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Failure to comply with release order
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The men are being held pending a show cause hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
