The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board wishes to congratulate a very talented group of St. Joseph-Scollard Hall CSS art students on being awarded the top prizes in the local Veterans Affairs Canada Remembrance Day Art Contest, which was hosted in partnership with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 23, North Bay.
First Place: Meghan Hunter-Gauthier
Second Place: Lydia Lalonde
Third Place: Tom Daly
Honourable Mention: Sarah Rocheleau, Sarah Northrup, Tamara Sarazin, Courtney Taylor, Tuesday Stephens
“It has touched our hearts to see these student artists’ portrayal of the bravery and sacrifice we must never forget,” said Director of Education, Anna Marie Bitonti.
“With their artistic tribute,these students have offered their school community a visually impactful reminder to appreciate the freedom we all enjoy today – a gift made possible by our Veterans.”
