A well-known bar/restaurant in downtown North Bay has closed its doors.
The Raven & Republic located on First Avenue West in North Bay recently locked its doors and posted a letter to patrons on its website.
"It is with sadness and a sense of changing times that we write this letter. After great consideration, we made the decision to permanently close our doors," the message stated.
"We want to say thank you to all our customers.
"The Raven & Republic has been a part of your most treasured memories at our weekly house parties, birthday celebrations, graduation dinners, first dates, marriage proposals, engagement parties, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, intimate wedding receptions, baby showers and celebrations of life. Once again, our deepest gratitude with our very best and sincerest wishes."
The Raven & Republic has been serving North Bay since 2012 in the former 100 Georges location. The 100 Georges owner closed the doors in January of 2012 before new owners opened the restaurant and bar under the Raven & Republic name later that same year.
