Pylons freed from watery grave

When the ice melted the pylons dropped to the bottom of the lake.

Some volunteer effort fished these pylons out of Lake Nipissing yesterday.

The pylons had been used in the Polar Plunge, and left on the ice to warn others of the hole. When the ice melted the pylons dropped to the bottom of the lake.

Shannon Avery, Manager of Lafond's Towing, teamed up with Capt. Pierre Grignon of the 22 wing Scuba Club to retrieve them.

It took about one hour from start to finish.
