A traffic stop on Line 3 Road in Bonfield has resulted in charges for the driver after being captured on an Automatic Licence Plate Reader
On July 25 just after 10 a.m., a North Bay OPP officer on general patrol stopped a vehicle after being alerted by the plate reader.
Michael Pedwell, 62, from Bonfield is charged with:
- Operation while prohibited under the criminal code
- Operate a motor vehicle with no insurance
- Use a defaced plate
- Two counts of driving while under suspension
- Failing to surrender a permit for the motor vehicle
Pedwell is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on August 1.
The vehicle was towed and impounded for 45-days.
