Popeye's Chicken eyeing North Bay opening later this year

A new Popeyes Chicken Restaurant is expected to open as soon as this summer in the West Ferris area of North Bay.  

In July 2021, North Bay Mall officials confirmed that a Popeye's Restaurant would be built at Lakeshore Drive and Howard Avenue at the Mall location.

While the opening has had some delays, the new restaurant is hoping to be operational before the fall.     

"This Popeyes location is projected to open by Q3 of this year," The Popeyes Media Team told BayToday in an email.  

Popeyes Chicken got it start in Louisiana in 1972 and eventually expanded to Toronto in 1984. 

In 2019, Popeyes Chicken celebrated opening its 200th store in Canada.
