One victim was taken to the hospital "with severe injuries," according to a release from the North Bay Police Service with more details about a shooting reported just after midnight, Saturday.
NBPS says it has arrested a suspect in connection with the Friday night shooting.
The release states at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Friday, April 30, members of the North Bay Police Service responded to reports of a shooting at a residence on Manitou Street.
After an investigation, police apprehended a male, age 28, of North Bay, who is the suspected perpetrator of the shooting. The suspect remains in custody and charges against him are pending.
Police advise "this not a random incident as the suspect and victim are known to each other. There is no threat to public safety."
Police say further details will be released on Monday, May 3, as charges are processed.
