The North Bay Police Service would like to speak to a man who witnessed an alleged assault that took place last Thursday afternoon around 3:30.
Police said an 11-year-old girl was playing in the bush area of McKeown Avenue and Champlain Street behind No Frills when she was suddenly grabbed by a young man who tried pulling her further back into the bush.
A shopper at No Frills saw what was going on, police said, who called out in concern.
This frightened the young man who then fled the area.
The witness-shopper is described as being in his 40s and the North Bay Police Service would like him to contact them to help further describe the attacker.
Police said the attacker was described as being a white male, 16 to 17, 5’6 to 5’7 in height, slim build with medium length brown hair. He may have been wearing a red shirt.
