CALLANDER, Ont. — A report to the police about a driver in the south end of North Bay led the OPP to later lay impaired charges in Callander.
On December 12, 2023, just after 2:00 a.m., members of the North Bay Detachment of the OPP received information about a possible impaired driver on Pinewood Park Drive in North Bay and that vehicle was located on Main Street in Callander.
Upon locating the vehicle and speaking to the driver, police determined the driver had consumed an alcoholic beverage and they were arrested for impaired driving and transported to the North Bay OPP Detachment for further testing.
As a result of the investigation, Jessica Milne, 41, from Callander was charged with:
- operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was issued a 90-day driver's licence suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on Jan. 9, 2024.
